Ali Farazmand is a Professor in the School of Public Administration at Florida Atlantic University, where he has been teaching since 1995 Ph.D. and MPA courses of Intellectual Development of Public Administration, Organization Theory, Organization and Administrative Behavior, Public Personnel Administration, Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining, Organizational Change and Public Management, Organizational Behavior, Bureaucratic Politics and Public Policy, and Administrative Ethics. He has a Ph.D. and MPA in Public Administration, and an MS in Educational Administration, all three from Syracuse University. His areas of research include Organization/Administrative Theory, Behavior, Strategic Public Personnel and Civil Service Reforms, Sound Governance, Citizen Engagement, Administrative State, Bureaucracy, Civilization and Administration, Globalization and Capitalism, Comparative/International PA, Crisis and Emergency Management, Administrative and Governance Reform, Public Productivity Improvement and Quality Management, and Organizational Change & Leadership. He is the author and editor of over 24 books and 140 journal articles, book chapters, and other publications. His recent and forthcoming books include Sound Governance: Innovations in Policy and Administration (Praeger/ABC-CLO, 2004); Globalization, Governance, and Public Administration (T&F, 2007), Strategic Public Personnel Administration in two volumes (Praeger/ABC-CLIO, 2007), Bureaucracy and Administration (T&F, 2009), Crisis and Emergency Management: Theory and Practiced (T&F, 2013/2014), Institutional Theory and Public Administration(Springer, 2014), Advances in Crisis and Emergency Management (T&F, 2014), Global Cases of Best and Worst Practices in C&EM (T&F, 2014), Public Administration in a Globalized World (Routledge, 2014/2015), The Administrative State Revisited: Globalization and Transformation, Modern Organizations: Theory and Behavior, Civilization and Public Administration, Organizational Change and Public Management, and The Future of Public Administration.

Professor Farazmand is also the Founder and Editor in Chief of Public Organization Review, and Editor in Chief of International Journal of Public Administration; a frequently invited Key Note Speaker to many international conferences; and a global Consultant on Strategic Administrative Capacity Building, Governance and Public Administration Reforms, Public Management, Organizational Change and Leadership, Public Productivity Improvement, Crisis Management, and Ethics and Accountability.
